Among Yeol Eum Son’s recent seasons’ US and Canadian debut highlights are collaborations with the Atlanta, Detroit, Pacific, San Diego Symphony, St. Paul Chamber, National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa, and Vancouver Symphony. This month, Yeol Eum returns for a series of distinguished concerti US debuts, including performances with the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra of Columbus, where she brings Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 to life under the baton of David Danzmayr as well as with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra with her frequent collaborator Joana Carneiro, interpreting Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3. Later this month, Yeol Eum joins conductor Jonathon Heyward and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra in Prokofiev’s ferocious Second Piano Concerto. Few living pianists play it better than her.
Later this season, Yeol Eum will return to North America for debuts with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Baltimore Symphony, and Colorado Symphony. She also returns to Ottawa for another collaboration with the National Arts Centre Orchestra.
Yeol Eum’s European concerto appearances this season include debut collaborations with the Düsseldorf Symphony at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf; the Vienna Tonkünstler at the Vienna Musikverein and London’s Cadogan Hall; the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, and the Galicia Symphony.
