Pianist Yeol Eum Son makes her much anticipated return to Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern on 10 September. She will perform Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30, conducted by Chief Conductor Pietari Inkinen. Her 2021 debut with the orchestra and Inkinen earned her rave reviews for her performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. .5 “Emperor”. Die Rheinpfalz called her a “wonder woman” stating that, “her memorable performance set the bar very high for the season. Yeol Eum Son conquered the hearts of the large audience… and caused a real storm of applause.”
Following her return to Saarbrücken, Son, Inkinen and the Orchestra will embark on a 7-date, 6-city South Korean tour performing the Rachmaninov in Seoul (13 & 14 September), Cheonan (15 September) Gwangju (16 September), Tongyeong (17 September), Busan (19 September) and Bucheon (20 September).
