“The astonishing” (The Scotsman) pianist Yeol Eum Son reunites with the BBC Symphony, in March 2026. Following her successful debut with them performing Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 2 in December 2024, she performs Bartók’s Third Piano Concerto and Finzi Eclogue with conductor Sakari Oramo at London’s The Barbican on 13 March. This is followed with a Korean tour from 24 – 28 March, where in addition to the Bartok and Finzi audiences will hear powerful performances of Britten’s Piano Concerto. The tour will feature appearances at Busan’s Concert Hall on 24 MarchSeoul Arts Center on 25 and 26 MarchDaejeon Arts Center on 27 March, and Seongnam Arts Center Concert Hall on 28 March. Further highlights of the 2025/26 season include debut collaborations with the Danish National, Swedish Radio, London Philharmonic, and São Paulo State Symphony. Among return collaborations this season are appearances with Scottish Chamber and the Singapore Symphony.

In the recent seasons, in the US and the UK she has collaborated with, among others, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Baltimore, Colorado, Detroit and St. Louis Symphonies, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, NAC Orchestra in Ottawa, LSO, BBC Philharmonic, BBC Scottish, City of Birmingham Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Aurora Orchestra. In Europe, Yeol Eum works with Budapest Festival Orchestra, Dresden Philharmonic, Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, NDR Radiophilharmonie,  Finnish Radio Symphony, Helsinki Philharmonic, and Oslo Philharmonic.  Further afield, Yeol Eum’s orchestral appearances include frequent collaborations with the Sydney, Melbourne, West Australian, Tasmanian Symphony and Auckland Philharmonia. Yeol Eum’s recent appearances as a recitalist and chamber musician include performances at the Wigmore Hall with the violinist Ning Feng, the Edinburgh International Festival, International Chopin Festival at Duszniki-Zdrój in Poland, Mänttä Music Festival in Finland, Rosendal and Risør Chamber Music Festivals in Norway.
