This weekend, Yeol Eum Son returns to the United States for her debut with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, with three performances on the 9-11 December. Conducted by Jonathon Heyward, this weekend marks Jonathon’s second time with the orchestra, following a brilliant debut in the summer. This week’s programme features Tania León’s Pasajes (Co-Commission), Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8. More information and tickets are available here.
Jonathon and Yeol Eum collaborated earlier this year with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra to high acclaim. Further to this, Jonathon’s Detroit presence will be enhanced by making his debut with the Detroit Opera, conducting Aida In Concert, featuring soloists Angel Blue ad Christine Goerke. Jonathon’s US season continues in the New Year, featuring performances with the Charleston Symphony and making his Houston Symphony debut in March.
